You can perform the configuration on a handset or PC using the online web configurator of your phone. The Gigaset Cordless Phone A540 is a real multi-line phone (It works like a PBX). Register up to six handsets and assign each handset its own phone number.

Connect the Ethernet port using your public directory online and update the directory on your phone and PC simultaneously. Directory accommodates 150 entries, has designated options for important numbers such as VIPs or ICE’s. VIP numbers can have background on-screen colour or specific ringtones assigned to them. Directories can also be transferred to other handsets.
